Learn To Swim

Give your youngster a lifetime of water confidence with lessons from Time To Swim.
We only allow 6 learners in each of our classes. This aids kids in making faster progress and gaining more self-assurance in the water. Additionally, the instructor can be in the water with the child throughout all stages, which helps the child develop.
Additionally, the Amateur Swimming Association National Teaching Plan is implemented into every one of our swimming lessons.
Our children's swimming lessons are divided into the following 6 stages.
Stage 1
This stage is for beginners who need to feel comfortable in the water and are unfamiliar with the water environment. Participants will be able to enter and exit the water safely, understand pool safety, and float and move on their front and back at the end of stage one.
Stage 2
This stage is for people who are comfortable in the water and can move around unaccompanied by an adult. Participants will be able to: jump into the water, submerge their face, swim 10 metres without assistance and rotate, push, and glide at the end of stage two.
Stage 3
This stage is for swimmers who are comfortable in the water and can swim for at least 10 metres without assistance. Participants will be able to swim 10 metres on their backs, submerge themselves under water to collect an object, push and glide with their arms outstretched, and maintain a streamlined position by the end of stage three.
Stage 4
Participants who can swim successfully on their fronts and backs and who feel comfortable submerged should go to this stage. Participants will be skilled in the front crawl, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly, leg kick, tuck float, and 5 m of sculling at the end of stage four.
Stage 5
This stage is for swimmers who are skilled in all four strokes and are comfortable floating and sculling. Participants will be able perform three different jumps, ten metres of front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly swimming, as well as a handstand and treading water at the end of stage five.
Stage 6
This stage focuses more on quality of stroke, breathing and advanced water safety. The swimmer will learn how to breathe correctly and become proficient in all strokes. Water safety will embed life long knowledge to allow them to know what to do in a water emergency.
